I gained 40 lbs over a years time from quiting smoking. I have been going to the gym for 2 months and have made some progress. My question is how much weight should I be using if I want to firm up not bulk up. I am a female 48 years old. When I started at the gym i weighed 178 and now I weigh 162. I do 30 min on the treadmill and have been using 5-10 lb weight.
