Hi! This is Susun Weed. Talking about nourishing herbal infusions. One of the world's great anticancer herbs is red clover. Now, most of the red clover in the world is grown to feed to pregnant and lactating cows. So often humans say to me, is it alright if I use this herb while I am pregnant or while I am lactating? And I say, certainly.
All the herbs that we use for nourishing herbal infusions are absolutely safe for pregnant and lactating women, especially red clover. It helps the pregnancy and it helps the lactation.
I have weighed out one ounce of red clover blossoms. Looks like a lot of red clover, doesn't it? That's why I weigh it out. Sometimes it's hard to get enough herb in the jar if I just kind of do it with my eye. Thank you Monica Jean. Get that spoon right in there. Good. And hold on to your spoon now.
I am going to pour boiling water. So we have a quart jar. We put one ounce of red clover blossoms in our quart jar, and now we are going to fill that quart jar right up to the top with boiling water. We use our wooden spoon to make sure that the herb gets down in the water, and then add just a little more water so that it's really filled right up to the top.
In addition to preventing cancer, which I remember when I was a young student studying, I was told that one out of three people in the United States would die of cancer. So good thing to have in a my weekly diet.
Red clover is also just wonderful for bringing in lots of minerals, and those minerals make our teeth strong, make our bones strong.
Red clover is also an herb that is considered a helper to the lymphatic system. And the lymphatic system helps the fluids, it helps the immune system. And yes, red clover is definitely considered an immune system booster, especially for people who are having health problems, with their lungs, or any problems with breathing.
Red clover infusion, one ounce of dried red clover in a quart jar, and that sits for four hours. Now, sometimes what I like to do in my herbal infusions is I like to put just a little pinch of mint. People who like black tea love red clover infusion, because it tastes a lot like black tea.
I don't much care for black tea. Can I borrow this thing? Thanks Monica Jean. So I put a little mint in with my red clover, that way I get that wonderful, one healing and anticancer effects with a hint of mint.
This is Susun Weed, wishing you Green Blessings.
