Lindsay Smith: Using videos can be a powerful way to reach our clients, but technology is helping us take that to a whole new level. In studio today we have Ben West he is the co-founder of Big Green and they’re working on Technology in software that will actually allow people to interact with clients more affectively. Tell us a little bit about what they’re Green does?
Ben West: Well, we’re sort of a technical swat team, we provide experiences for brands. So an advertiser or marketer will come to us with the particular product and ask for help in getting the word out to the public and that can be viral work, web work video work, you name it if it’s going to electricity running through it that’s our game. And that can range from automobiles, to gadgets, to a lot of real-estate, we are base on Vancouver but our work can see everywhere. If you are at home we got a number of different solutions and we’ve recently launch a project in Burnaby called Lux and we got a touch screen here that runs through some of the solutions that we offer to marketers for the real-estate market.
Lindsay Smith: Let’s take a look at this Lux project here, we’ve got the video screen behind us and let’s explore some of the products.
Ben West: Let’s tale a look. So the screen saver that’s running through here is branding exercise, this are all their photos showing a views from the top of the building looking towards in this case Brentwood. It’s a bit of a romance to get people to come in to the screen, you wanted to be inviting. And when you touch on it here, we’re presented with some of the floor plants. So, if I decide that I’d like to take a look at Unit-D and we bring up the floor plan and the sales person can then talk about this unit, you can zoom in here and take a look at, just a traditional black-line drawing. But if you actually want to go on details and say, “Well, Mr. and Mrs. Smith let’s take a look at what your view will look like”.
Lindsay Smith: Oh, perfect on buying it then.
Ben West: Perfect, so we touch on views and here we looking in the view, facing in the direction for that unit. And we can actually drag our finger here and look in different directions and if Mr. and Mrs. Smith say “Well that’s great, but I like to perhaps even higher on the building” you can go down to change floors here. And it loads in an animation of the building and then we can work through the floors that we are interested in so Mr. and Mrs. Smith would like would go up even higher.
Lindsay Smith: I would like the Pent House.
Ben West: The Pent House.
Lindsay Smith: Perfect.
Ben West: Here we go, so this is the absolute top here. This is the view looking around the surroundings again, this are areas photos that we stitched together. You can see the view, see the mountains there and we can actually look at over here and this is a two tower project and I believe if we touch here you can actually getting over lay of work tower two would be located. So you can get an idea of what part of your views would actually be of scared when you move in.
Lindsay Smith: I imagine that for clients coming in and looking at building as said as real estate, that’s going to be important feature for them to actually. Because there is something more annoying than having a building go up and for buying something, thing you have a view and not having anymore.
Ben West: Yeah, this is definitely a critical component to the sales effort and there are still sales old fashion sales behind you, you start to get people interested and find a product that’s important to them that make sense for them. But this does help visualize it and what we’ve done here, we got our 3-D renderings to show in greater detail what that would look like, so we are looking at those line drawings before but this is a computer generated rendering that we’ve done of what your unit would look like. We can look around here, we can take a look at the floor and all this are accurate to aspects that would be in the building.
Lindsay Smith: How is this normally setup or running is it running of the server?
Ben West: Yes, this particular installation were going to be running of a machine in the back, this will be put into some custom now working that fits with the move of your presentation center. And as you won’t see any this big ugly vessel here and it will be part of the sale center not something that is separate. A few years ago you would have all your traditional advertising in your broacher is going to be coming, they’re might be a corner that have the technology in it. Now it’s integrated into the experience and bedded actually into the walls and part of the tour as you go through it.
Lindsay Smith: So it seems like actually technology has come a long way then in terms of what we’re using now for marketing and we were not just using online were actually trying to engage people more and more within the process. Is there any tips or anything you would like to leave our viewers with if they are interested in getting more information on this, where would they go?
Ben West: Well they can go to our website at Biggreen.CA that is with two G’s and they can sell the services we offer from going up in the helicopter and shooting video tip to putting together website, you name it were really as swat team. So we just want to hear what people need.
Lindsay Smith: Well thank you Ben for coming in and enlightening showing and us us just what it is like to actually, touch in interact with the screens out there. Some of you might want to try out for your business.
