Hey YouTube, it’s TechSupportGoneBad. And today, I’m going to be teaching you guys how to do a cool little trick that could give your website a professional touch.
Now, have you guys ever been on a website and out of nowhere, some music starts playing in the background? Well, that’s what I'm going to be teaching you guys how to do today.
Alright so here, I have my website, the website I want to add music too—by the way, you’re going to be needing Dreamweaver or any other website editing software that you could get your hands on. Now, I'm pretty sure of what’s with any website editing software. And also by the way, I tested it out both with a photoshop designed website which like mine and a website that is downloaded off of a template. So, they both work and I'm pretty sure any website would work as long as you could open that website, open Dreamweaver and edit it.
So, you’re going to be needing some code so head over to the video description and click on the link that’s going to take you to this website and then just copy this piece of code right here.
Next, you want to head back to deliver and change it to code view. For those of you who don’t know what that is, if you look up here next at the title, you’re going to see code, split and design. You want to just click on code view. That’s going to show you all the coding for your website.
Alright so you can pretty much paste this code anywhere in this little code view panel or box or whatever. You could pretty much paste it anywhere. But I'm going to paste it right after my title just so I could keep track or where it is.
Now right here, right after my title, I'm just going to click right there, press enter and then paste it. After you’re done pasting it, if you’ll look at it, it’s going to say you better find something that says Put Link for Song and that’s basically what it is. You have to put the link there for the song that you want to use. And this link could be anything from the direct link to the song like this one I have right here where it only shows the little player or it could be on YouTube video or music video, a video from MySpace, anything like that. It’s just going to take any audio from that link and put it on your website.
So, I'm going to take this link of this song that my friend made for me so I'm going to copy it and then paste it right there. Make sure to replace the words that it says put link here for song. Make sure to replace those while you’re pasting the link.
So next, I'm going to head over to design view to make sure everything still looks alright. And just go to File and click Save. And then I'm going to click on this little globe or yeah just a globe and click Preview FireFox. I did that or you could just press F12 to preview in your default web browser. So, let’s see if it works out.
And that’s pretty much it. So, it was a success and worked out fine and it’s just really great effect that you guys could add to your website. Give it an extra professional touch. So, that’s it. Hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial. Hope you guys learned something today. And until the next video, I’ll see you guys—
