How do we address the rise of Islamic fundamentalism?
Well, clearly we have a fundamentalism in all of our great religious traditions in Christianity, and Judaism and Islam. Resa Oslan is a friend of mine and we are here for this aspect as we are in the panel this morning. I think he is part of this serious too. We talked this morning about how the answer to bad religion is not secularism, but better religion and the answer to fundamentalism is like called prophetic faith, engage faith so you do not sort of to say there is something wrong with the whole idea of faith. You say, well this religion has gotten a secure. It has gotten manipulated by fear, by political agendas, by ideology, even by hates, and even by violence. Fundamentalism is basically, it is a distortion of religion base on fear and so the best way to handle bad religion is better religion, you know that faith is suppose to bring us not easy certainty but a deeper reflection not to bring us triumphalism but rather humility. Not to bring us senses in senses in about world but hope that in fact even the big things can indeed and have been changed.
