Banana Bread with Mom
Male: Hey on! Today, we are back here visiting my parent’s mom and dad. Do remember them from the browning episode? And today, I told my mom like a week ago and said, “I am coming down and I want to make banana bread with you.”
So she said, “Okay, we will make banana bread.” So, we get some bananas here and let them ripen. And dad is studying the recipe. Dad is going to run the camera. Mom and I are going to cook, and we will see what happens here.
So, I mean banana bread for me as one of those comfort foods. I mean my mom will make it, and she will send it to me and comes to me wrap in aluminum foil and plastic and I like the whole thing and lasts in days so, I was here and a lot of comfort food, so here we go.
So, we are supposed to have three bananas. But, I only have two.
Mom: Yes, we only have two.
Male: Well, that is typical of us.
Mom: That’s right, we make two.
Male: Yes!
Mom: Say nuts, it does not. I do not think if it cost for nuts. Do you want nuts in there?
Male: I like walnuts in it. Do we have some?
Mom: I like walnuts too, yes.
Male: Is this an issue between you two?
Adam: Yes.
Mom: Everything is an issue. In pieces, we want the pieces. Check your butter, bananas, eggs. Two eggs, give me eggs, Adam.
Adam: Eggs and milk. Eggs go down here.
Male: There is so many rules here.
Adam No!
Male: So, handy knife opens up the bananas. So this is an old family recipe.
Mom: Not really!
Male: So, the banana is going here. Right come over this way
Mom: It probably should take this butter off.
Male: So, we’re creaming the butter and the sugar. Is this supposed to fly out of the bowl like that?
Mom: No, but it does sometimes.
Male: Now, Tracy might not like this but maybe we could use a fork to mash those up. What do you think?
Mom: That is right. That is right, the fork.
Male: A fork, Tracy! Did you see the show where Tracy is yelling for using a fork?
Mom: No! I didn’t see that.
Male: Yes!
Mom: Now, you could use some fork.
Male: You can use a fork. A fork is a multi purpose tool. Otten Brown like them.
Mom: Who?
Male: Otten Brown is from the Food Network.
Mom: Oh!
Male: I send him a letter with a garden fork DVD. He is jealous for what it is.
So getting more of Eric as a child star, you want to tell us.
Mom: Well Eric, he was a nice kid.
Male: Well, he is good!
Mom: Yes! He is very good. I do not use stiffed flour.
Male: I do not either. I just stir it with a fork.
Mom: Yes!
Male: You know Uncle Dan watches the show.
Mom: He does.
Male: Yes, he is watching and sees all the mistakes I make.
Adam That doesn’t look like it was very whipped very much.
Mom: No, never mind that.
Adam What do you want me to do? Grease it?
Mom: Yes, please. This on like this and then put it in there.
Male: And you use that to grease the pans.
Mom: Grease the pans, right. And you mix this in.
Male: Too much for any kind of—about your husband?
Mom: I do not know. I am all right. I love him. He just drives me crazy. He has a thing about the refrigerator. Things has to be in their place. I never know where I am going to find it.
Adam It is always in the same places as you did the mess on it.
Mom: No, no!
Male: We could use fork to integrate the walnuts into the mix.
Mom: I use my spatula.
Male: All right! Now, smooth them out a little bit.
Mom: Smooth them out a little bit, yes.
Male: I can do that now with a fork.
Mom: No! Okay, that’s it.
Male: Thank you. Thank you for sharing.
Mom: You are welcome.
Male: All right, so we’ll wait hour, and then we’re ready.
Mom: Right.
Male: It’s like health food. So, mom and dad have never really seen the show. So we are going to play it for right now. This is the making brownies with Mom episode.
Male: There are my parents.
Adam Hi! How are you?
Male: So, we’re at my parent’s house in Saint Louise and we are going to do a couple of shows here but I just want to show you a little bit of slice somewhere and we’re going to make brownies. Wow!
Mom: Wow, they look good.
Male: Nice!
Mom: Wo
