Host: Hi Jim.
Jim: Hi, thanks for having me, you know and todays tough economic times, more, more people are cutting back on their health care spending as a way to save money, as a manufactory survey last year show that one in seven working adults and children went without their needed medications because of cost and this is a major link problem, especially for people who have chronic health conditions.
Host: what can people do?
Jim: There are lot of little things people can do they can add up, they can help him save money on their health care cause without compromising their health, for example for people who have diabetes its very important that they test a blood sugar on a regular basis it's a way to manage their health, so a great resource they help people save on their diabetes testing supplies could be the one touch products, and the reason I say that is because their test strips are available at the lowest core pay and more health plans than any other test strip they can save people on an average for about $250 a year.
Host: Why should they keep, for committed saving money on prescription?
Jim: There are lots of little things again that people can do that they can add up they can save the money with their medication cost, for example its very important always talk your doctor or pharmacist and find out if there is a cheaper alternative medication that may be available to you, also buying your medications in bulk and save your money. A 90 days supply is often cheaper than a 30 day supply, splitting pills is a another way to save money on your medication cost, but make sure that you are getting double dose of medication you are not supporting your current dose or get a double dose split the pill in half you can cut your cost in half. It's also important for people to have health insurance plans to check with their health provider to make sure that you are getting the medications and supplies, at a lowest possible core pay because depending on the plan or the medication that you are taking it can vary across the board.
Host: Right, What about if you don't have health insurance?
Jim: Sure, the 46 million Americans they don't have health insurance, there is also a lot of people to have water down insurance as well, there is lots of different drug assistance programs that can help people that are insured, programs that are off with you pharmaceutical companies government agencies, and charitable organizations there are literally 100s of programs out there, they can save people 100$ and depending on your income level it might been be able to give you the drugs before use, so there is a lot of resources that people can tap in to for my drug assistance stand point. There is also a great resource that people should happen to well, as well known as drug discount cards among the best ones on the market, is one called together or its access, they can save people between 20-40 % on their medications, so that's a get resource too.
Host: Great and were do we go for more intro?
