How To Coach Baseball: One Knee Drill

This is a One Knee follows thru drill. The purpose of this drill is to make each pitch as accurate as possible. What we have each player do, is to set themselves in a one knee ready position. From this ready position, I command we will tell each player to become set in a throwing position. From the set throwing position each coach can walk behind and determine that they are in straight line with knuckles to the sky and all of our throwing techniques in line with throwing properly to home flake. With the follow through position we are just making sure way we are emphasizing that the ball is being released properly and that the body mechanics are following through with the ball for the delivery.

Ready! Set! Release! Ready! Set! Release! As we go through this jury, each coach can stop any segment of this drill and make corrections. Ready! He can check and see that each glove is in proper position in front of each player. That is located just above his chest. Set! He can check to see that there is the right grip on the baseball that the arm and the glove were in line to their target that the shoulder is not opened so that he has to flow across his body to become in line or that the arm is already in a bent position. Deliver.

Ready! Set Deliver! Ready! You want to take that poll for that position check your hands, check your grips make sure knuckles into the sky make sure glove is pointing towards the target and as you release you are placing that ball and it catches glove.

Ready! Set! Check your hands. Deliver! Pick up your target. Ready! Set! Deliver! Good. Ready! Set! Deliver! Good.
