All right folks, Jonathan here. This video is about trying to make your deck goes slightly faster or maybe if it is going too fast go slower. You are probably wondering what have you got as a technique, SO1200 turning table. Have you got two of them and when you bring the pitch all the way up as fast as they can go. Do you find that one deck goes maybe fastest, a lot be faster than the other does. Using this method, you can actually decrease the speed but also would you like your deck to go maybe faster. I am pretty sure the techniques SO1200 mark two will do plus or minus eight but by doing this you can make them go about a little bit faster.
Now, I am not telling you to do these. I am showing you what you can do. So, it is up to you if you want to do this with your turning table. I am not taking any responsibility if you are bugging in deck all right. So, watch this, I will give you step by step idea on what to do and then I will show you the actual outcome as well. I will show you before and after. So, pause the camera and I will show you exactly what happens, bear with me. All right here we go, here is the turn table and as you can see I have removed. Now, if you have a lock at the dots.
I just want you to make note okay, of the speed of the top dot. Now, I am now going to increase the pitch control all the way as far as it goes to the plus position. Now, can you see the movement there? And, if we have a look at the actual pitch, you can see where it is. Now, what I will do is, like soap and we will stop the turn table, turn it off like that. Then, you need to remove the actual platter. Now also, very important can plug from the actual mains which I will do now. All right, we are trying to do anything real time. Under here, you will have one, two, three, four, and five, screws. Remove those screws put them on a safe place.
As you are looking at the under side, you will see this guide here. It is a small blue dial. Now, what you need to do is, you need to move that clockwise. If we say, class o’clock, 12:00, 1, 2, 3, what I suggest you do initially is you move it as though you are moving five minutes. So, I am going to move ten minutes just to show you the difference. So, I am going to move it just about to three o’clock. Now, we will put the cover back on. Do not screw it down yet just in case you want to make other adjustments. Let me act to the top back on and then I will plug it in at the mains and as well, very important tip actually, I will plug from the mains physically take the plug out of the socket.
All right, we will turn that on and now, what I will do is I have to pitch set to the green light and we will take a look at this point here.. So it will focus and what we re looking at is the dot at the top. So, I am now moving the pitch as fast as it can go and as you can see now, it is starting to go faster and very slightly but still it is going faster. What I am going to do now, I am going to pull us the camera and just do exactly the same thing but move that blue dial a little bit more and we will see if it can go faster again. So, there you go, there is the actual position of the pitch, bear with me.
Okay, while I moved it again, we can see there, it is on the green light and as it should be the center circle, the largest center circle should be stationary when the actual pitch is inside the position. Now, what we are going to do now is we are going to increase the pitch all the way up to as fast as it can go and as you can see that it is going a lot faster. Now, the opposite applies when we reduce the speed, the actual speed will slow down a lot more as well. So, there you go, that is the general idea on how you can increase and decrease the speed with regards a techniques SO1200 turn table. All right, thanks for watching. Practice and enjoy.
