Well, hi there everybody, it is the DJ Tutor here and I have the DJ Tutor’s hat on and I have the DJ Tutor’s sweater on, yes, sorry mate but, big shot, like it. Spot on do it; it is what it is all about right?
If you are watching this for the first time, what I am going to say this, the hat is up for auction on EBAY. If you are watching this video after the 20th of January 2007, it is gone. But at the moment it stands at the 13 pounds 50, alright.
The auction ends this Saturday and it is actually the opening towards(ph) the website hopefully, www.djtutor,com, okay? So, all I am going to say is not the world’s greatest thing but it is simple. It is straight forward, it is not like somebody’s video, this websites with about 50,000 million things you got to press and you look at and you think, oh my God, what is gong on mate, help.
It is simple. Straight forward, gives you advice, okay? Right, what are we going to do today, talk about one of my favorite types of music which is jazz funk. Jazz is a collaboration, two types of music, jazz and funk. It originated on supposed about late 80s, early 90s. We have the southern frees, two classic songs that we are to listen today is one of my all time favorite bands. It is Level 42, love games, marking, bass player, slap bass, real bass, not a machine, that guys spins some funky strings, believe me, okay?
Now what we will do, now first, let me say this, all you modern day DJs out, please for goodness sake, soft, for a day, go back and listen. If you have not done it before, to what they use to play years ago because you will benefit immensely forgetting knowledge and listening to all types of music.
So many DJs have got this attitude of like, forget it, it is crap. Listen to it because you can learn a lot, okay? Enough of me, I will plug the sidey-doodly what is the name into the side of the thing you do da and we will listen to a bit of the old Level 42 and Mark King. The track is entitled “Love games” and it is on Pulido(ph) records, okay?
(Music playing)
As usual, if you have not see me out in the streets, you probably hear anytime the over beats, it is sensible, alright? Level 42, jazz funk, ladies and gentlemen, enjoy, practice and enjoy, peace.
