Alright folks it Johnson here. Now, were can this wacky ideas is sometimes for the video but you know if any again maybe not wacky actually this sing here is pitch control that you will find in a technique SL 1210 turntable. Let us have a look inside it and see what can go wrong. What it looks like what you can do to fix it and if somebody will mess around all tight. I got my trusty Ladeven not first what you could see underneath that you have got this little eclipse. Now, what we need to do first of all is a cost once you got this out, you need to open those up and you do that by getting a pair of pliers and pulling them open. Like so, I mean is get of flat so will do that with all of them, okay. Alright, there you go. I have got all of those as you can see that and now let us take this piece off and see what is inside. Open that up and first of all put this bit diamond just for a second. Well, what is the base, now what happens can you those in lines you got like four lines or basically you have got this thin bits of metal that run along here. Now, I have just straighten this up. Can you notice a lots of stuff along there well that is basically that on that sometimes can cause problems. Also what happens is this a thin layer, I am not exactly sure what it is. On here I am sure you could tell me someone can. But, over a period of time those thin legs that I will show will were this away specially around this center point which of course were the actual green pitch is or the center point, 33-45 exactly. Now, this point, this is were we start getting in trouble. If this is one way quite a lot then basically this pitch control is this and it is about time you got another one in this can be move in all over the place. So, there you go there is the undecided which is just basically a thin layer. Well, that nice, let us have look at the other bit. Alright, there you go. I believe you can see that but we have those little feet that stick up. Can you see them there? Hold on, there you go. In just a bit you can see them. No, there. Do that, hold on. Now, you have got a one, two, three, four sets. Now, what happens is over a period of time as well the that rumors could have and at the base part were it actually touches that bottom piece, I have just showed you. Sometimes this gets really thin and this tiny bits can actually break and flake off. In a cause then you still got problems. Also you can get stuff on the bottom of this so you loose contacts. Now, at this point here I am going to take, well I am going to take this actual piece out. On the other side you have got that which is were you will put your fingers normally. Now, be careful here because just about there you can see a little ball bearing. Now, that is actually the part that clicks. You can just hear it. Now, if I take that out I am going to be careful because that is pretty loaded and as you can see there, there is the ball bearing if I am not careful that is going to fall on the floor but it does not matter. Because this one is necked anyway. Now, let us have a look on the underside the actual metal base that is what is all it is. It is just the metal housing so let us have look at this part here. Right if you look there now, you have got your feet there and those bits sit on the first piece I have showed you. And there spring loaded and then also on the other side the binary area there underneath. How many guys got ball bearing check this, there you go. You can see there, you have got this piece here that is spring loaded as well. Just about that so they fit on the top and the nose piece fit on the bottom and of course this part moves backwards and forwards. As you can see here, I mean this is a lot of dirt etc. You can see it here. I mean this is an old pitch, this has been used and possibly abused. So this one did need actually replacing but this video is just about giving you a sort of insight in to what. It is all about where the pitch is and at the end of day if you can look at this video and get rights of that is what is all about. That is how it works. Then your almost another step closer to knowing how your actual turntable works because of the end of the day as no point owning a turntable, plug it in and I am going to go. Would not it be better idea if you plug in and you have to go your actually realize what certain bits do. So, a little bit of insight into the actual pitch of a techniques SL 1210 turntable. And also its new not exactly the same with 99% of other turntables with regards a pitch, alright practice and enjoy.
