ARMBAR FROM UNDERNEATH SIDE MOUNT
The next submission in the side mount position that we are going to work on is going to straight into an Armbar from the bottom position. There is armbar triangle, there is couple different sweeps, we are going to focus on the Armbar. So we are here, our opponent has a good side mount on us, we are going to bump up, and just like the scissor sweep or just like the steps in guard, we are going to get one leg, go in, in the space that we create.
Here's, we have given him a bump and we get our inside knee up in between us and him, alright? Meanwhile, this arm is what we are going to be attacking, this one right here. So I am going to take this leg, and I am going to throw over his head, alright? So on here, I literally reach up, throw right there, and I can finish the Armbar from the bottom or I can kick with my legs, get the Armbar.
One more time, we are here, we create this space, we reach all the way up, all the one motion, this knee comes in, this leg comes over. We can finish from the bottom or we can give him a bump, finish with the Armbar. From another angle, we are here, I like to feed myself this arm as much as possible, sometimes he won't let you, but you bump, get this knee in.
This knee is the key, alright? This knee and the other leg should come up roughly the same time, and he shouldn't really feel the counter until he's knees are already in it. So we are here, I bump, knee in, leg over, bump him over, take the Armbar. One more time. Our opponent has the side mount, we are going to bump and create space, the knee comes in, the leg comes over, I get the Armbar, finish from the bottom or bump him over into the Armbar.
Our opponent has a good side mount on us, we are going to bump to create space, knee comes up, leg comes over, I am immediately pulling down the head to sink in the Armbar, alright? We are going to push up with the legs, give him a little bump, push him over, and we got the Armbar secured. That's a good Armbar for you, for the bottom side from the side mount position.
