Our last submission from the side mount, is going to be crucifix, but a variation is going to throw this leg, behind his head, for your really strong opponent, so we can still get the crank. Okay, so we are in side control, laying in side control and I am playing a really good dive and jump, doing different attacks out, throwing the Americana whatever. This arm is ended up behind here, okay.
I like to switch my hips because I like to walk up as close to his head as possible. If this arm is down, I just pop it out and now I am in a good strong full position underneath the arm. What I am going to do is I am going to take just like we saw the crucifix earlier and I am going to take my other hand, push his shoulder up and punch it to the ground. Now I have got a pretty tight crucifix from here but some guys are really, really strong.
So what I need to do drag that arm up as high as I can, step over with my leg. Now I sit back, very, very tight, okay. One more time, so we are here, I am going to switch here. When I am here, I like to shift this arm up and grab it and the higher I grab, the easier it is going to be for me to get this leg over, okay. So I step over with my foreside leg, grabbing my own hand behind of his head and leaning back.
It is a mean choke, mean neck crank, okay. From the other side, I am here with side control, I switch over to my hips. I am going to push this up around his head, go up and under, grab it, alright, it's a regular crucifix script, if I need to I use both hands. I pull up as high as possible, step over with my other leg, pulling his head up, I get a crucifix. One more time, little closer.
Alright we have landed in a side mount position, I switch to my hips to get this arm out. Now, I am going to take this arm to this arm and I am going to feed this crucifix all the way up to me . The higher I grab, the tighter it is going to be. I would like to grab all the way to the elbow if I can, it is important with both the hands. I am going to step his foot over, I lean back, give myself room, I step this foot all the way over, grab my hands together, lean back, a really nasty crucifix setup.
Be really careful training that one, there is a great neck crank that you can pull off. It is simple, it is effective and really, really hard to fight.
