FARSIDE ARMBAR FROM SIDE MOUNT
The next submission that we are going to go over from side mount is a Farside Armbar. We have already gone over how to attack this arm from side mount, now we are going to over how to get this arm in the Armbar. There is couple of different ways to do it, we are going to show a couple of different ways, we are here, he reaches up and around. I like to cross face bug the neck and I like to hold this as tight as I can hold it.
He gave us this arm; I am going to keep it. From here I sit up with good posture and put up knee up in his sternum, so I am working here and I drag my arm all the way up to his elbow until finally I get tap, okay. It is a pretty simple setup but very effective, be very careful when you are trying it.
You cross face, you are bugging the neck, I come up, get from here, okay. If the guy has a really strong arm or he has been fighting in and you are real slippery because you are sweaty, you need some help with it, here is another option for you.
You are going here, you have cross faced, you are bugging the neck, you got to sit up, you need something else to go along with this. While you are bugging the neck I like to use it to pull myself over, I am going to throw this knee all the way around to this side of his ribs, so from right here all the way over and sit back, pinch my knees right in the hips, finish with the Armbar.
From this angle, we are here, I bugged the neck, I sit up, my need the Armbar from here, if I can't get it, I use this swing all the way around and sit back into the Armbar. Going the other way, we are here, I reach up, bug the neck, go up and hug as hard as I can right there that is one way. If I need help swing this leg around the top, all the way over, into the Armbar.
One last time this way, we are here, bug the neck, sit up, I get the Armbar right there, or take it, finish on the other side, that is your Farside Armbar from side mount. A real simple setup but quite effective, be real careful when you are trying it, also be real careful when you first grab him like that, be careful when we try to pull his arm out. Be real careful as you can hyper extend his elbow when he is trying to pull it out. If you get it out there, he is really struggling with it, just step over finish with the straight Armbar, like you learnt might help.
