Alright this is our Gift Wrap setup from mount, we have laid the mount has a couple ways to set itself we are going to go over two ways. The first way we have a really low base, like we are always supposes to have. When he gets to push itself, it is just like we setup the Armbar with, but at time we are going to take this arm. I am attacking this arm on him, so I take this arm up to the right, below his elbow.
Right here, it won't work, because if I go here, it just pulls back and then that is no good. I go just right here on the back of his triceps, from here I am going to push it all the way across my body, I am going to lay my weight down on him alright. So I have got up, I am here, he is pushing me up, I am going to push his arm across and lay my weight down.
When I lay my weight down, I am going to take this arm behind his head, I am going to grab his ribs till I am doing that, I am reaching behind his head, grabbing his wrist on the other side. I switch -- once I have got a good grip, I switch to my base, I drag my right shoulder up and I come up on my left foot, personal preference I have, we have more relay, he might be able to stand regular mount.
This hand, this free hand, there is a couple of options from here, you can't slide it down to his shoulder, switch to your base and he may fight, you can end it like this with strikes. If it is a submission grappling belt, you can reach up under, right through there, reach up under and grab your own forearm right next to his carotid artery, you are going to put your pinky down behind his ear, okay.
From here, I am going to lift his and squeeze my arms together, until I get a tap alright. It is a Gift Wrap. So again from here, he is pushing me up, I pushed this on the cross and lay on it, this hand goes behind the head and grabs. I sit up, this hand, I have the option of either trapping this arm and ending with strikes or I have the option of reaching up underneath his elbow, right here. I am reaching underneath his arm, putting my pinky down just below his ear, grabbing my arm and pinching together as I get a choke.
This part of my arm is cutting off this carotid artery, this part of his arm is cutting off this carotid artery, you can get a pretty quick choke from there. The other way you can set this up, just like the Armbar setups, I am going to attack for the Americana, I go here, he reaches through to protect it because he knows what is coming. He is literally just done what we were trying to do with the arm, I just put my chest back down on the back of his triceps, here, again reach behind grab his wrist, switch my base to reach under, grab here, get the choke, alright.
From the other angle, we are here I am riding low in my mount. He tries to bait up, I push and lay my weight down back to his triceps, I reach around his head, grabbing his arm and switch my hips. This arm goes under, and finish with a choke, okay. The other side so that you can see it, he pushes up, I push across and lay down, this arm behind the head, grabs his wrist, switch my hips and this arm underneath his elbow, across his head, I get the choke.
The other way, it is about to cross his shoulder and down, replace it with my knee and the strikes, okay, that is your Gift Wrap. I am riding low, he pushes up, I push, there is the cross, under the head grab the wrist, switch to the hips, this goes under, I get a choke or I fetch with strikes. From the other side, he pushes up, switch across, underneath grab the wrist, this goes under or block it down, there is the strikes, okay.
If I am going to set it up with the Americana, I push this arm straight to the mat, he protects it, I like to go behind the hip, grab right here, this arm, up under, grabbing my forearm, lift and pinch or that is the strikes, that is your Gift Wrap from the mount position with a lot of variations of that, we are going to go a lot of submissions and sweeps that you can set up with the Gift Wrap, that is your Gift Wrap from the mount.
