SHOULDER LOCK FROM KIMORA DEFENSE
The next thing we are going to work on is going to be, when we are working for the Kimora, or our opponent is defending it. Either he has got his arm weaved underneath us, he is grabbing onto his waistline, he is doing whatever, we can't get this Kimora, he has got really strong arms or whatever. We have a couple of options on how to finish him, without giving up the Kimora.
So we are working for this Kimora, or if he has just got his arm right here and we just reach up. See how my hand is going through here. Now I can push his elbow down, and I have got arm control.
Another way this happens is if I grab this Kimora, he feels it coming on, he will reach up and he will grab his own waistband.
There is a lot of things he will do to prevent this Kimora from coming. What we are going to do is we are going to use this arm, the bend his arm to setup a bicep cutter and a shoulder lock.
We are going to dig this arm in as deep as we can, and we are going to grab our own shoulder. This arm is going to come around, and go around the back of our other elbow. See how I have weaved his arm. I am going for the Kimora, same setup, but now that he is protecting it, I am just going to slide this arm underneath it, grab right here. This arm, grabs right here. All I have to do, switch my hips back and lean out this way.
You get a really quick tap. That's a very, very tight shoulder lock.
Again, we are here. I am working for the Kimora, he feels it, he grabs up on his waistline, I can't finish the Kimora from here. I just reach in, grab here, switch my hip, sit back; very, very tight shoulder lock.
From the side so that you can see my hips. We are here. I have gone for the Kimora. He is protecting it. I reach under, I grab the back of my elbow, this other hand is on my shoulder. I switch my hips and lean up. You get a really quick tap.
I am going to zoom in on the arms so that you can see how I am weaving the arms through.
We have got this Kimora he is protecting. This arm is up under and we are going for this Kimora. We can't get it. So what we do is we take this arm underneath, we are going to grab our own shoulder, we are going to grab our own elbow, like this. Now we are going to switch the hips out.
So again from the beginning. We are setting up the Kimora, he goes to protect it. I slide this arm under, and I grab my own arms. I switch my hips, and sit up. It's a very, very, very aggressive shoulder lock.
The next option that we have of the Kimora is a neck clank. We have gone for this Kimora, and for whatever reason, we can't get it, he is protecting it,
we are going to keep this, and we are going to go behind our opponent's head. I am going to use this to lift him up. There's couple of ways you can do it, I like to grab over the arm. Some people like to go all the way into the Kimora.
As you do this, I just want to put my weight, just grabbing the ground, and lean up. It's a very, very tight neck clank. You have to be really careful when you are first training this one.
Another way you can get it; it's kind of like the crucifix up, if you are doing it from a Kimora. We go for the Kimora, he is protecting it. I reach the arm under and grab it, and you get a really tight crucifix from there.
Right here, one more time. I am working this Kimora, he is protecting it, really, really tight. For whatever reason I can't get the shoulder lock, what I like to do is just reach up, grab here, slide under, get the crucifix.
Some guys will tap from it, some won't. Some guys will tap really early from it. There is a tremendous amount of pressure on the neck, it's a very painful lock. Be careful training that one, and definitely start working on it.
