Knee to Chest, Brown Belt Guard
The last sweep that we are going to work on is pretty standard variation. When our opponent stands, but he doesn't stand up so tall, he kind of stands with his base low; not leaning over us, but his base is just kind of low, or maybe he is a shorter opponent, that's fine, we are going to use our knees to catch his ankles and push him straight back. For that reason, we are going to start with this angle.
Pay attention to what my hands do. Our opponent stands; as soon as I feel him stand, I am going to take my hand and put them on the back of his legs, right here. I am going to unhook my guard, but I am going to put my knees directly on his sternum. From there, I am going to push up with my hips and pull with my hands, here. All the way up into a Mount.
From another angle. We are here. Our opponent stands, I hold onto him just a little bit longer. From here, back with legs, knees on the chest. I am going to use that to bump him, when I raise my hips. My knees are what's pushing on his chest when I raise my hips. So I am going to bump him and pull his legs. I am going to sit all the way up into Mount position.
From this angle. Our opponent stands, hands on the back of the legs, knees to the chest, and I am going to use my legs to bump him up and pull him out, all the way over into Mount position.
