WHEEL BARROW ESCAPE
The next escape that we are going to work on is called the Wheelbarrow. It is kind of a variation or kind of the next in line for a chain of escapes of the last one. So we are in side control; our opponent has got a good side now. I am going to create space by using that exact same bump. I am bumping up and creating the space for that knee. Notice that I am no longer on the flat of my back.
But my opponent is going to -- I am assuming that I am going for the steps you don't escape, my opponent is going to feel this, is going to push his chest flat down in my sternum. When he does that, now I have lost the position. So as I feel that happening I want to use his momentum shift and I just want to keep it going.
Now when I do that I don't want to take my opponent straight over me. I want to take his legs with this hand and you will see how I push him over to an angle. I am not taking him straight over this way, I am taking him down towards my legs a little bit. So we are here and I create space. He feels that he pushes down. I am going to use that; I am going to pull down on the head, I am going to use his hand little I am throwing a baseball. So I just use that, I throw his legs straight down into a side control position, switch that again.
We are here, I am going to create some space trying to establish the guard and give a good bump. His sternum comes down, hook the head, push the arms. So we are here, he comes down, I just go straight over into my side now. Our partner has side control, I am going to create space, he does push chest down, I push over at an angle, coming up into my side of control.
One last angle. We are here, I bumped to create space. When I bump, he wants to take away that space, so I bump he pushes down, take him straight over, alright. Again, we are here, I have created space, he pushes, I just use that momentum. I push him straight over in the side control. It is called a Wheelbarrow escape in the side mount position, that's the next amount of chain of escapes that we are going to use and we have got some other options after that.
