The Windows XP splash screen might look nice, but it actually causes your computer to take extra time to boot up.
To disable the splash screen which will slightly speed up the overall boot process, simply go to Start, the Run, then type msconfig and click okay.
Now, go the BOOT.INI tab, and you will see right down here, there is a boot option for no /NOGUIBOOT. Select that option, and then go to OK.
When ask, simple click restart.
Now, you will see that the Windows XP splash screen is no longer displayed your computer’s overall booting time is now fast.
