Wow, the only thing you need do do this was a little extra cash for the antenna. Kinda sad when you think about it. I mean hell, this is so simple every 14 year-old you see will probably be trying it. Sad, just sad.

So much for people who dont know anything about bluetooth... Well as a matter of fact bluetooth hacking is one of the most common types of hacking these days... What David has already said is perfectly sensible... And moreover sometimes even the encryption keys can be grabbed with a good algorithm... Im a computer security software engineer and believe it or not even I have done it... But dont worry its not something that everyone can do...

The "Tapped" conversation was obviously him on a prerecorded conversation. NOT a random person. Just listen to it, besides, there was NO background noise...in a Starbucks?!!? Come on now.

If this is legit...why is it on a public video site for complete n00bs to get their hands on? Leave the 1337 work to those who have ears to hear.

Try reading up on bluetooth stacks. You will find that there are numerous channels associated with BT. Many digital data channel and analogue voice channels. A lot of these are not encrypted. Some headsets utilize the digital channels to encrypt voice between headsead and phone. The key is often '0000' Some phones allow you to change the key when paring the device. If the headset or phone used the analogue voice channel there's not much security for you.
