Craig: As the author of the new book 'How to Fake a Happy Christmas.' Please welcome the lovely Jamie Denbo, everybody. Jamie, Jamie, Jamie, well, welcome to the show Jamie, I don't think we have ever met.
Jamie Denbo: Never.
Craig: So what's the secret of coping with the holiday stress?
Jamie Denbo: Bury it Craig, shove it deep down inside, so that there is plenty of room for the Christmas spirit outside, like this.
Craig: It looks a bit painful.
Jamie Denbo: No, no the pain is on the inside. I also have a stress relieving mantra, when a store runs out of PlayStation 3's I don't frown. I simply say, ho, ho happy holidays and it makes everything okay, just try it Craig.
Craig: No thanks.
Jamie Denbo: Do it.
Craig: Ho ho ho, happy holidays.
Jamie Denbo: See, it's like a booster shot of good cheer and turning down good cheer is a holiday who know.
Craig: Well that is a who know.
Well what's the best way in dealing with a relative, visiting in-laws for example.
Jamie Denbo: Nothing is more tense than house full of in-laws, I mean sometimes I almost feel like killing someone. I really do. I just want to pick up a knife and plunge it into my mother-in-law's thigh.
Craig: You haven't actually stabbed someone in your family have you?
Jamie Denbo: Not my family, my in-laws, are you even listening? Ho ho ho happy holiday. Yeah, you see that was the close one.
Craig: Oh! Yeah.
Jamie Denbo: I almost let my real feelings show and that's another holiday, ho know.
Craig: What about writing those news letters, do you have any tips on writing like Christmas families news letters?
Jamie Denbo: Absolutely, the secret is spin for example, okay don't write that your husband is sleeping with your sister that's a downer alright. Instead, you say your husband is doing his part this holiday season to spread joy.
Craig: It's not lying?
Jamie Denbo: Not technically, my sister's name is joy. Ho ho ho happy holiday.
Craig: Yeah.
