A better solution is pushing the tray until you hear a "click". U sing the hole will damage irremediably your drive in most of case... For urgent case, use of a dremel will give you back your cd very faster, just be careful (my own video is in progress).

When you push in the hole with a paper clip or needle you CAN damage or wear out your cd/dvdrom as you are pushing on plastic gears.

this should only be used if the computer will not power on, or the tray will not eject while powered on. also, a paperclip works just as well, if not better than a needle..

More damage than good. Turn the machine off and eject. Then turn off. Much quicker than above video
