How to Hack Your Verizon HTC Touch Pro Part 1/2
Bowman here from BWOne.com and I give you the first part of my series of how to hack your HTC Touch Pro by Verizon Wireless. Let’s get started with the first part which is how to unlock your phone.
The reason you would unlock your phone you need to unlock so that you are able to put the custom ROM and customize software under device so you need to unlock it first and what you’ll need to do is you actually need to go and download and unlock the files. A great place to find these files is this website called PPCGeeks.com. It has a great website and a great forum so that you can find the software like this on any other type of software that you’re looking for any type and help that you’re looking for. It has a great forum. It has a great community and users that are willing to help you out if you have questions. So you want to make sure you go to PPCGeeks.com and you definitely want to sign up to the forum and download the software.
What you’re going to be downloading is the Verizon HSP all package. When you download that package you’re going to want to take one file out of that. It’s going to be to your advantage if you want to take one particular file out of it which is the Rafia CDMA–ECWHSPO_305 zip file and when you extract them on to your desktop, you want to open it up and you want to click executable right here.
All right I bring up to ROM update utility. Now what you want to make sure before you do anything else, you want to make sure you back up all your information. If you're not sure how to back up your information see my tutorial on backup. It’s on my YouTube page also in the website BWOne.com. You want to check that out there. I’m going to show you want to synchronize all your data and stuff because you potentially lose all of it when doing this so you want to make sure you synchronize everything. You have all your data backup before you begin.
So once you’ve done that we going to bring up the ROM Update Utility here and it’s going to be in a caution. You just can’t leave all the information. You want to make sure you click the check box that you understand and you write everything on the screen, click next and you want to make sure of what things are to connect to the computer via USB. Make sure you have an active sync connections from Windows XP or Windows Mobile device connection if using Windows Vista, stable to harmony, make sure the main battery has to charge and going to fit to 30% and you just want to click that checkbox. You want to make sure it says two image versions all those are done and you click next. You're going to verify that same information. To verify this it’s going to bring up the screen edge and you want to click update and you want to make sure there is two image version 0.35 DHS film and you want to click next and once you’ve clicked next the process will begin.
Okay now once you get the confirmation it says a 100% you going to see Congratulations your ROM update is now complete. It is ready to use. Now you’ve unlocked it. Now it’s ready to put a customer on it so the next thing that you going to see is I’m going to show you how to put a custom ROM in and how to use what they call it kitchen, “cook your own ROM” is what they use in the terminologies and let me show you how to do that in the next videos, so stay tune for that and until then.
