So, you do actually tell me how fast I should be downloading. Why it is important to understand this numbers. Well, first of anything you download from the internet, anything you download from the web browser or from thorns or other period to prepare that works it is going to be in kilobytes.
Once you reaches the thousand, a thousand kilobytes is called a megabytes and a thousand megabytes is called the gigabytes, a thousand gigabytes is called the terabytes. So, these are the numbers we are familiar with. This is the number say usually advertise in hard drive space and then thumb drives in that going to thing.
Why in heck do we have kilobits? Well, kilobit is basically kilobytes times eight because there is eight bits for every bite. A lot of people know this but they do not associated with kilobits and kilobytes. So, 641 times eight are 5,130, so kilobits that is the difference between kilo bits and kilobytes. They used the bigger number simply to advertise since it is a bigger number people get confuse with kilobytes in I think their connection speed is way faster when it is actually just about the same speed.
And again I recommend testing the connection speed to see how fast your connection goes in then calling different ISP’s to check how fast their connection goes. In this case it is 5,130kilobits but they usually call it 5 megabits. In this case I have a six megabit connection from AT&T it is actually pretty fast but it actually going five megabits. It is not going to six megabits advertise but it is not that far off so I can really complain.
The speed test also told me my upload speed which is about 630. If I said 630 kilobits in kilobytes, in Google it has going to say 630 equal 78.75 kilobytes. So, this is about how fast I am going to be downloading using to pair to pair networks of thorns. Since they are base on sharing ratios they use limewire or some kind of thorn sulfur like you thorn or a azorius. This is about how fast I am going to go even if my max capacity for downloading is about 600.
Now, that you understand kilobits per second and kilobytes per second it is really important you go and check your local phone directory and compare the different internet service providers in your area. I know people that you had dial up forever in they will be paying the same amount of money they could be getting a 30 times faster connection with. They could be getting a DSL line for the same price it is about 30 to 50 times faster.
So please do that, please check the differences. Also if you use thorns and stuff makes sure the upload capacity is fast. The faster the upload the better the download, it does not matter with your max download is most of the time. If you have a slow upload rate you are going to go pretty down slow or a lot of people get confuse by that. Also if you are going way below what you should be going with your current provider you should call them. You should say hey, what the, hey? You advertise the speed and I am going this speed in you should help me. So, please be sure to do that.
