Tinkernut.com
Welcome to tinkernut.com video cast. In honor of the fact this summer, I will be doing some traveling overseas. I have decided to do a video on how to learn different languages.
How to learn different languages
Now, this is just a compilation of different websites and resources that you can use to learn different languages.
The first series of resources is to Podcast. The second one is to Online Classes or Tutorials and the third one is the Downloadable Programs. But before we get started, a good website to get you started would be how-to-learn-any-language.com. Now, this website just goes to different steps and good tips to get you started in learning different languages.
Podcasts
First of all, we are going to learn some different website, you can go to different language Podcasts. First one is oculture.com, now this also has a lot of different resources but their foreign language library for Podcasts is really cool. You can signed up for the different languages that you see there below and you can get them to iTunes, download them to your iPod, sign-up for them to RSS feed, different things like that. So great little utility. The next one is called fsi-language-courses.com. And, this one is kind of the same as the last one but you have a lot more different options and you have a whole series of different classes and units, they divide them up in what is called tapes and you can just click on and play or save the different tapes and you can upload them to your MP3 player, burn them on to CD’s, different things like that. So that is a very good little utility as well.
Online Tutorials
The next thing we are going to do is learn how to go to different websites that can teach different courses for languages. First one is kind of social website called babble.com and this is pretty cool because you can learn German, French, Italian and Spanish but you do not have to learn them alone, you can connect with other people that are also learning in and you can set this as your homepage and each day, you can touch on different subject of your language, the language that you want to learn so this is developed, so that you can come back during different parts of your day and just kind of a reminder to learn different language.
The next one if my favorite, is called mangolanguages.com, this just kind of a flash tutorial series on how to speak different languages, all the different languages that you see below but it is so easy. You just go to the different steps and it tells you what to do and it divides words and synopses off, color codes, done speech from mouth and tells you how to pronounce them on the same website. I found this the easiest out of all of them.
Downloadable Programs
For the downloadable program, what we are going to do is go to jvlt.sourceforge.net and all these programs is something that you can download and kind of use as a resource for different flash cards. I am not actually going to download this and install if for you but here is some different screenshots as t what it looks like. So again, it just kind of online flash card type deal.
Miscellaneous
Here are some miscellaneous tips for you. One website called babelfish.altavista.com will allow you to on-the-fly translate different synopses or even entire web pages and you can translate them to multitude of blank languages. For instance, here is Google.com translate it from English into Spanish so we just go there and as you can see, the entire Google website is now in Spanish. And you can do this for any website and if there is a website is in a different language, you can translate it to your own language. This website I just taught I have through with here because it is kind of cool, it is called tranl8it.com and what this does is it translates normal everyday English and to kind of text messaging English. So you can just type in something and then click the translate button at the bottom and it is going to translate it in to what is commonly accepted text message language. And then, it even gives you the option to se
