Bianca: Hello, I’m Bianca with watchmojo.com, and today I’m talking to master mixologist Merlin Griffiths about this season’s best cocktail creations. So Merlin, what is your favorite drink for this season.
Merlin: For this summer, I think it's made of sapphire Collins. The most really important there is making it with fresh lemon juice, and they can do a Sapphire Collins, this gives you a much richer flavor I think, because you got your botanical flavors coming through there. I think the real key for me though. Don’t forget to add the fresh lime.
Bianca: We could just maybe leave of with you us the tricks, the trade of your favorite drink, the sapphire Collins.
Merlin: Yes, why not it would be pleasure so now we start by pouring in a sensible measure, now I’m not going to talk you in exact quantities here. The flavor is really up to you. So, I want here, a sensible measure, I have about two ounces, I’ll put my sapphire in there. To that now I am going to add the juice of half a fresh lemon. We gave that a great squeeze, here we go. To that I’m adding a little sugar syrup. Well though as I say you can use two teaspoons of powdered sugar or caster sugar, that’s about half an ounce I’m putting in there. But again you can do it to taste, if you wanted a little sweeter add more, want more sour add more lemon juice. I’m now going to giving that a stir, just to bring out flavors together, and now lots of ice. The more ice the better. It shows your drink faster and keeps it a lot colder for longer. Falls to the brim with ice there, ideal and know just to top it off, a little splash of cloth long cool refreshing, you can feel the sourness already, I mean this is wonderful, lemons in there accenting the Spanish lemon peels in Bombay Sapphire itself. Simple lemon with garnish, I should put a star in that why not. Here, the sapphire Collins.
