This is Tech Support Gone Bad and today and I want to show you guys how to make an awesome YouTube background. And what I mean by an awesome YouTube background is something that looks like this. The background is black or you could change your background to any color you want and if you change your box colors to the background color and then it gives it you a really great effect.
Also over here on the corner or on the sides, the left and the right side you’ve changed it to whatever color you want and make it saved wherever you want. And up here in the headline or header you could change it to whatever color you want and make it save it wherever you want. So first off, to do this you have to go to the link in the video description and this link is going to take you to your template of the template that you're going to use to make your YouTube background. So right click it and save your image as to your background. Okay, and then after you're done doing that just open it up with either Fireworks or Photoshop. This works with both but it works better with the Fireworks, so that’s what I'm going to be using.
After you open it up it should look something like this. So I'm just going to go ahead and make the background for it. Choose the right handle tool and choose whatever color you want and just highlight the whole picture with it. It should look something like this then go ahead and mess around all its properties, the gradients, the patterns or whatever. I'm going to make it go to Starburst, make the gradient to starburst and then after it like let’s say I want this background. I want it to look like this. After you're done just click on the background layer and drag it all the way to the button and that will make this rectangle pop up and you want this rectangle here so it could give you that full effect that I’ve talked about earlier.
So if your box colors are red, you could go ahead and change it to red, if your box colors are whatever color you could go ahead and change this rectangle to whatever you call it, matching it so it gives it that really cool effect and how you do that is just click on the layer which is rectangle and you can see the pictures so you know which layer it is. So just click on its layer and just mess around with its colors, its textures anything. Just mess around with it and you should get that color. But right now, I want it to be black because my background or box colors are black.
So I'm going to focus on get changing this color right here, the color for the header or headline whatever. I'm going to change that color. So how to do that is click on rounded rectangle which is its layer and change the color type. I'm going to change it to green. I'm going to change the gradients to contour. After that just click the little symbol A. That’s the text thing and I'm going to type in the Tech Support Gone Bad website which is http://techsupportgonebad.CO.NR and if you click on the scale tool you could mess around with it, move it, flip it upside down, move it around, yeah, you could pretty much do anything with the scale tool.
I'm just going to type Tech Support Gone Bad on the outside right here and by the way if you want to change not only the font color but the font type like how your font will look, you could go to assets and click on the styles tab and just change it around and as you see I just changed it to that, this, that. You could see I changed it and I'm going to leave it like this. And yeah, I'm going to put it like this so it's going straight up and we’re going to put it just right there.
And I'm just going to do it one more time. Just type Tech Support Gone Bad and change the font type to this or the style type my bad and then just click on the scale tool to move it anywhere you want. And this one I'm going to make it look slanted so something like this and just put it right there. I'm just going to leave it like that. So let’s zoom out and see what it looks like and this is basically what your YouTube background is going to look like.
So let’s say you want this. You like the way it looks. You want to put it up on YouTube now but how you do that is save it as first of all, save as whatever you want it. I'm going to save it as Tech Support Gone Bad, TSGB and save as the file type, save it as Jpeg and just click save. Wait for it to save and after it's done saving just minimized it or exit out of it or whatever and open up your default browser and go to JustUpload.net, just the link or just upload. It will be in the beta description.
So just browse and double click on the one that you just made, TSGB and click, just upload. And just wait for it to upload. And any day now, so it says it just that your file has successfully been uploaded. Well done and it should give you a URL, click on the URL and your image that is just made to your pop up. So after it pops up, just copy the URL and go to YouTube.
Go to edit channel on your YouTube account, click edit channel. Go to channel design and scroll down all the way to where it says background image URL. Erase whatever is in there and type or paste the URL to the image that you just made. And be sure to change the box properties to whatever the background color that you want like if for example you made the background color red, change the box to red so it gives it that really cool effect. And then click update channel and go back to your text Tech Support Gone Bad or your YouTube page right there.
And it should look the way you wanted it, it's says TechSupportGoneBad.CO.NR. Right here it says Tech Support Gone Bad slanted, I'm not sure where this Tech Support Gone Bad on this side went but whatever. Well yeah, so that’s how you create this really cool effects and this really cool background for your YouTube account. And yeah, you guys go ahead and do it on your own, create some cool stuff on it, be imaginative and hope you guys learned something today. Thank you and goodbye.
