Welcome to the Discount Trendsetter Show. I am your host, D. Gulley, your money saving coach here to show you how to save money.
Now, you don’t know why I have this dress on then that means you did not watch last week episode. So, you need to stop, go back to last week, and catch up. But for you who have been following the show and you watch last week episode, you know, this is part two of the episode entitled “How To Make a Simple Dress”. So, I still have my dress on. I just want to pick up where I left all and basically we’re going to add some little possess to the dress. Now, you use a solid fabric then see if you can find something really creative like a fabric with some print to add flavor to your dress. Because I already have a print on the fabric that I have on, I want to use something solid. So, what I am going to do is take some leftover fabric from the dress, turn it inside out because the pink is really pretty and it will all set the print.
And basically, we’re just going to kind of tuck everything together. You can choose to saw a line straight down but I’m not going to do that. I’m a bit lazy. And take some safety pins and pin the inside of this fabric together. Don’t worry. It all will come out the same. So, we’re done pinning it on both sides. And this is just so the dress won’t be a straight simple A line dress. It’s cute but why not add something else to it. So, it looks like this, right. Just like some fabric, simple, nice, little piece. You can either choose to use this as a belt, how about that. Let’s see. I could do this and kind of make a little pin and make a cute little belt, something similar to this or I can take it and I must make it like sash which I think I like better. So, I wanted to do something like this to my dress or you can even take it around your neck or right on your arms and tucking in like this. I mean there are so many different things you can do. So, I just want to present you with options but I think the way I want to wear this is I want to take it—because it’s kind of loose but I want to take it and I’m going to do something like this. So for now, for the sake of time, I am going to basically pin it in place and go back and saw it later. You’re at home, take your time. You have all the time in the world; only have 10 minutes before You Tube stop my video. So, as you could see it looks like this. But there is more I want to do with this. It’s now time for the financial tip of the week. Stay tune. I’ll be right back.
Okay ladies before the break, we were playing around with the sash, right. So, as you can see I pinned it on one side but I still have all of this fabric at the top. What I am going to do is just twist it and make a flower. And in order to do that, you’re going to twist it around like this multiple times. And then you got to tuck the end inside. So, it sure looks something like this. And then you probably do want to pin it inside just to give it—to secure it just in case it comes a loose bit for now we’re going to just try to pin it. But it should look like you have a cute little flower or design at the top. Try to get the pin in, okay. Let’s see.
All right. Wait! Wait! Wait! All the flowers coming apart, let’s try it one more time. So, you tuck it several times. It should almost look like a donut or something. And then you want to pin it because this fabric is so big. It’s hard for me to pin it but of course, you definitely want to saw it in place but I think I can do it like this. Okay ladies what do you think? Do you think the dress is hot? Wanting to look at? Well, this concludes today’s show. I hope you had as much fun watching this video and take the time to try to make this dress as I have had doing it. So, until next week, don’t forget to send me comments. Let me know what you think. Tell a friend about this show and stay tune because I have a lot of great things in store. Until next week I am your host, D. Gulley, signing off. Peace!
