Over the years of making editing and presenting my own power point presentations. I learned many valuable lessons that I used to make my presentations better. I hope that the community will like my top five lists to find it useful as well. Number one be sure to make your presentation is appropriate for the audience and whom or to whom you are going to present it.
That means do not put funny sounds or transitions or presentation that are going to made two group of executives for purposes of professionalism of course if you are going to make a presentation to a slight less critical crowd like a classroom or presentation for some co-worker of yours then such add-on might be more appropriate. Failing to tell your presentation to the audience can cause you big time, as depending on who is your presenting to different reactions may take place. Sometimes that reaction can put you and or reputation in jeopardy.
Number two be sure your presentations are easy to read. I want to say it again be sure to make sure your presentations are easy to read. Presentations are useless if the audience cannot even see almost what is on the slides. Be sure not to make the text to big or to small. I have recommend between 48.0, 36.0 fonts for title in between 24.0 and 18.0 for regular old text. If the text is to big it may not fit on the one slide and if the text is too small then some people will would probably not be able to read it.
Also use clear fonts I like font such as Ariel, Tahoma, Gill San MT etc. For presentation as their modern smooth and of course it is easy to read San Sira fonts. Of course you cannot avoid a less than perfect reading situations I recommend passing out now. Outline your presentation with the audience. An outline that has a copy all of the text included in your presentation that can be pass out in order for them so they would be able read along with the presentation on screen and a little more comfortable passion on there lap.
So, they do not have to take notes which of course decreases the stress level by the way the best read ability for text happens to be yellow text on a blue background.

This means inserts some pictures false, add cool effects to them like three charts and grass, shadows, word art and make sure if you have trouble with any of this you can use themes or look into the themes if you have problems. It is a quick and easy way to take a basic looking presentation and make it look better and of course ditch time new roman it is on my opinion the worst font on earth. Now this is written by Emeravera1, I would agree completely I hate times it use way to frequently and does not look as good as some of the other fonts out there. See the number two point about font you might may look into.
Making your presentation look good can may you look good and it shows the input in some effort. For instance you will see it is very clean and now of course I am washing this presentation on the monitor and you across the room so you are not going to be able to make up the text. But his put in nice fading transitions between the slides very professional, very professional. Number four do not just have text I am entering this for a reason, nothing is more boring than a text only presentation.
This is not 1993 there is so much more you can do now in your presentation at objects, pictures, video clips, sounds graphics as long as it is appropriate to have something to do with your presentation. So, not just draw a clip a art that has like you know nothing to do with your presentation at all. You know make it relevant if you are going to put in there, it gives the concepts to cross a lot easier makes your presentation interesting and be sure to used the cool editing effects that this presentation software title have.
Other things like transitions, saddle transition of course can make it presentation really stand up.
Number five, format the text information correctly use bullet points, no one wants to read a large para-graphic text in the middle of presentation. It becomes very difficult to extract the good information when the task is formatted this way, so bullet point the important necessary information that will be abuse to some of the audience.
The presentation will be more useful this way. Bonus tip have your own information and experience to the presentation it is really upset him, this is why I lose my dogs, they get really upset when I tell them not to read directly from there presentation because they do that. They tend notice to have some dogs up on stage when they got the presentation read directly from it that is bad.
Do not just read what it says unless you owned experience on the audience even if you made the presentation, things seem to be a lot of easier when they experience explained by the person to present your after work. Add more information that you could not include in the slide for whatever reason and finally be sure to explain the contents of the presentation thoroughly and with eye contact to the audience. This make the message much more clear.
You are the presentor this is presentation software, you are the center of attention. This is supporting you. I am pointing at you, you but me because I am right now presenting not really using this. It is one of the reasons why you do not see me doing all time screen cast because you may be paying attention to my voice maybe paying attention to the screen. But I find that this is much more engaging method when it comes to interacting with you, the audience, the community in general that is another reason why throw live chat into the videos as well.
