Valentines Day is all about pampering your loved ones. Hi! I am Rebecca Brayton. You are welcome to watch mojo.com and today I will be showing you an recipe that will get your Valentines Day started out right.
Banana and chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes. For this recipe, you'll need one cup of all purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking powder, half a teaspoon of baking soda, one tablespoon of sugar, a quarter teaspoon of salt, one egg, one cup of buttermilk, chocolate chips, and finally bananas. In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients and mix them well.
In a medium size bowl, beat the eggs slightly with a fork. When that's done, add the buttermilk and stir in till it'll just combine. Add the dry ingredients to the egg buttermilk mixture and stir with the wooden spoon until just combine. Leave some small lumps in the mixture so as not to over mix.
First step, preheat your griddle to 375 degrees. Spoon a quarter cup of the batter on to the griddle for each pancake. Here's is where you can use any ingredient you like to flavour the pancakes before the batter gets heated. In our case, we are using chocolate chips and slices of banana. You will know when to flip the pancakes. When the bubbles that form on the edges of the pancakes no longer disappear. Cook on the opposite side for about another minute and then serve immediately.
Pancakes are naked without maple syrup so be sure to have some on hand when you are serving your honey breakfast in bed.
