This pie is a typical desert from France, Belgium or Quebec. Hi! I am Rebecca Brayton, you are welcome to watch mojo.com. Today we will be showing you how to make sugar pie.
Here are the ingredients you will need to make 2 sugar pies; 4 cups of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, 10 table spoons of melted butter, 2 beaten eggs, 2 cups of carnation milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 prepared pie crusts.
Firstly mix together the flour and brown sugar in a large bowl. Now add the milk, butter, eggs and vanilla to the sugar and flour mixture and stir well. Prepare your pie crust by placing them in your pie dish.
Pinch the edges if you like for a nice detail. Pour the mixture into your prepared pie crust. Cook for 30 to 35 minutes in 350 degree oven or until the filling is set. It's best to cook this pies on a low rack of the oven to ensure that the crust cooks evenly. Keep an eye on the crust to make sure they don't burn. If they look like they are done before the filling is set, you can cover them with aluminum foil to make sure that you get golden brown crust every time. You'll know your pie is done when the filling resembles caramel. What's not to like about that.
