Okay, pimpsahoy 1594 asks. “How can I speed up Bitorren or New Torrent downloads?”
Actually, the answer is to increase your upload speed. You go to options, preferences, connections. Make sure upload the set to automatic or zero. Basically, you are going to be downloading as fast as you are uploading in most situations. And that is because torrent is based on share ratios. The more you upload to somebody, the more they give you something back because you are not actually downloading from any particular server you are just downloading from other people trying to get the file and trying to download as fast as possible, too.
It is not possible for everybody to download their max capacity so you will download pretty much your maximum upload rate and that is what torrents are based of sharing so you need to set upload to maximum and you are going to get the max speed.
Another thing you need to set is listening port. You need to make sure that you are port forward to this port. If you have a firewall, if you have a hub or a router that blocks different ports that are on port 80 which is HTTP.
To port forward is actually pretty simple. Just go to portforward.com, go to guides, scroll down where it says port forwarding guides by router and it has tons of routers. Just search for your router name and check out the port forward. It gives you exact details. You also probably need to enable it if you are using something like Windows firewall or some other firewall program.
Anyways, thanks for the question.
