How To Make a Bacardi Cocktail
Today, we’re going to teach you how to make a perfect Bacardi cocktail. Now interesting story about this, it’s actually created in the 1920’s, during prohibition, where all of the Americans who could afford to travel and get away from the prohibition, flew to Cuba. It was really that unofficial US saloon. Now ironically, there was a very strange court case in about 1936 in New York, a Supreme Court case, actually ruled, believe it or not, that it was a criminal case to make this cocktail without Bacardi rum, interesting story.
So, how are we going to make it? It’s a shaken drink. So you grab your cocktail glass. Shaker tin, ice it down. Grab your Bacardi, always Bacardi, an ounce and a half. There you go. Add about an ounce of lime juice. There you go. And a little bit of grenadine to sweeten it up. Shake your glass. Mix that up. There you go. Grab your strainer. You guys counting? Then you pour your perfect Bacardi cocktail. Very nice, they’ve been fortunate to go to the Headquarters in Bermuda. Very nice people, anyway, it’s a great company. This is an excellent drink, very popular. You’re going to like it.
