Hi, this is Jane with A Floral and today we are making a bow and using our double face white satin ribbon. This is a very luxurious bridal ribbon and it is wired, so it is easy to work with and it is satiny, it is just beautiful, so elegant. To start out, I am going to leave a little bit of a tail here. You can always cut your tail a little shorter, but it is better to leave them long, cut them out, till you get down your project. So, here is my tail and I am going start out with a nice loop and another loop opposite that and there is just going to be cris-crossing, right over the top of each other, we have this little X going on here. I got to make sure that both of my loops are the same size.
Then, hold this in the middle with my thumb and then I am going to gather it up, just going to give this wreath some nice tie. And, my next loop is going to come around and I am going to gather it up there in the center. I made the same size as the loop is going on top off. So, let us scrunch it up there and holding that tight with my thumb and my finger in the back. I want to keep doing this. We are actually making your loops a little smaller, five loops is the general rule for a standard size bow.
We got four loops here, so far. Gradually, a little bit smaller, gathering it up nice in the center, it gives you some nice body. I have five loops now, to finish it off, I am going to put a little loop, it is going to go right around my thumb. We are going to hold in the center, here. Strip it off, and I am using a cloth covered wire, just available here at A Floral, it is in a package of a dozen or so. It is really nice working with bows. It is not going to give you the slippage like a regular floral wire will. And, we are going to slip that wire right up through, where my thumb is holding our bow together, bring it around to the back, twist it just as tight as you can. A couple of twists and that will secure our bow. I want a bow around, a kind fluff out here in loops and you get the loop that you want there. Really beautiful, satin bow, form your wedding work. This is one of our nice wreaths that you could put the bow, on that wreath, on the church door to the wedding around. Perhaps you made a nice decoration. Another thing you could do is a little treatment at the end, under streamers should in cut a diagonal or you can get a V-shot-cut. I am folding the ribbon in half, on the center that gives it a nice finish to make up to your lovely satin bow.
