Hi, I am Sandy with A Floral and today we are going to make a cascade bouquet. One with a long elongated tail in the front, this is a very elegant bouquet and I have chosen some beautiful sprees. This is a lily gardenia spree, but it also comes with some ivy and some hydrangea and stephanotis. I think this is quite beautiful.
When you have a spree like this, you can take one piece and put it right into the front of the bouquet holder. You see we are using the loamy bouquet holders with the dry flower foam and how nicely that already creates your cascade in one movement. That is a wonderful thing.
Now, I have taken some other sprees and cut them apart. So, we have one elongated piece, but I would like a couple of other sprees hanging down in the front. Now, we have three, one long and two that are a little shorter, which gives you a nice flow up to what we are going to call the focal point of our bouquet.
For the focal point, I have some gardenias that came off those same sprees and we are going to use those to start our bouquet. Look how beautiful and how quickly this goes together. As you know, in the flower industry we usually work in odd numbers. So, we can do things in threes. Now, I have three gardenias in here. I am going to add three lilies that came off that same spree. The lilies will go in between the first three gardenias that you have put it on. See how quickly this fills up, it is nice when the sprees have all the flowers you need to start. Also, there were some pretty hydrangeas on that spree, so we will fill in with those, to cut the stem a bit shorter and tuck those in near the center to fill in that spot.
I have one more spree left that I am going to cut apart and put some small pieces in to fill in the center. Now, I used three sprees of the lily gardenia spree and our cascade bouquet is almost done. Is not that beautiful? Remember, when you are making a bouquet to always look at the back and see if you need to fill in anything back there. This will be the part you are looking at and you wanted to look beautiful for you too. I take any left over greens that I have and use them on the back side, pieces of ivy. We even have one stem left and you do not want to throw anything away, so let is cut that off and fit that in the back, as well. If you would like you can add a little ribbon to finish it of on the back side and then, your back looks as lovely as your front, is that not a beautiful cascade bouquet? Good luck.
