Alright. So we’re back. 7:37, alright, so we got to get dinner ready for 8.
So this is the flank steak I made that we posted the video for up there. So that’s a leftover flank stake. I cut it into little pieces and some of the roasted peppers. So we have that. And this is a mix of provolone and mozzarel.
So we got a little butter going in the frying pan. And again, I got some onion. These are again at Texas Stallion. So, I’m going to throw that in the pan. They’re slice pretty thin. So, we’re going to sauté that, and then once that gets sautéed, I’m going to base it up with a little bit of garlic and throw that in. And we’re going to throw our meat, our peppers in and then these are already 1:15 and they’re small because I’m a fat slob, and we’ll try and portion things a little. So now, I’m not eating both of them. And then once we get that already, then we are going to throw it in the boiler and then toast it all up.
So, I added the meat and the peppers in with the onions and a little bit of butter. And what is great when you cook your meat raw is when you are dealing with leftovers, I think it’s still so very tangy. So it won’t actually get overcooked as I’m heating it up. It will still—you know, it will have a medium finish to it. So that’s going to sauté for a little bit and then we are going to bring our sandwiches out.
And also, I’m going to sprinkle in some of the ancho chili pepper. That’s what we’re going to rub for this, so I’m going put some of that in.
As the rules, I put some butter with a little bit of garlic power on there and I’m going to pop those into the broiler first to get that a little bit toasty and then put the steak and toppings on it.
So the boiler is really a great thing. A lot of people do not use it that much including myself. I went a long time without using it, but it’s great for doing sandwiches, putting things in there just to melt real quick. You can do that without having neither the toaster oven and waiting forever for things to melt. So the broiler is really, really great for a lot of uses. I know, I under used it for a long, long time. And just lately, I’ve been using it a ton and I’m an idiot. I’m sure a lot of people aren’t using theirs either. Just things that you are thinking, need to put a toaster or an oven, 350 for 20 minutes, you can do it right under the broiler probably in a few minutes and get a great crispy topping on things.
So anyway, give your broiler a whirl, it works great.
And there, these had been in for about 60 seconds, and already, under the broiler, it is starting to melt and toast up a little bit. So you got the meat on it to make a little extra. So we’re going to top on with provolone and mozarrel mixture. And we’re getting a little help. And we’re going to put our French fries on top.
Alright so there we go. I’m going to put a little of the Maker’s Marked Sauce on mine and that’s it. We’re going to pop them on the broiler.
Alright. So it’s 7:58 and we got everything done. We’re going to close these bad boys up. They were in the broiler for just a couple of minutes so we’re going to close our sandwiches up, they’re pretty good.
Alright. So there is our cheesesteak sandwiches kicked up a little with a little rice and the beans and the 4:54 salsa.
