Hi this is Jane with AFloral and today we going to be working with cemetery cones, this is something that goes into the ground at the gravesite of the cemetery and just the niftiest little thing ever. This one in particular has the foam already in there. We do have it without the foam. You can also use them for fresh flower of course, without the foam, we just put the fresh flowers in there at the gravesite. It has the nice spike here that is removable. I am going to take that off while we are working with it. We are going to work with traditional Memorial Day colors today. I have chosen these absolutely beautiful geranium bushes we have here at AFloral and they are so realistic, vivid colors the nice smoky leaves are realistic.
I have cut these apart cutting off the largest flower on each one and then I put a steel pick on the stems with our steel pick machine, a very important tool and you always want to have the steel picks on anything that you are going to be working with that is going to be outside because you do not want these things flying down the road when a little gust of wind comes along. I put both of those bushes in there side by side. I am going to put these larger geranium blossoms in the front, they will bigger and heavier and we want those towards the bottom and in front. Now I have chosen some very beautiful larkspur. This is again very realistic nice white flower and then put this in the back here. It is going to give us a little height. A white color, for our red white and blue cemetery look and again I am just putting three of those right down in here with my steel picks. Nice and secure. The next flower I have chosen is this blue corn flower. It is really one of my favorites here at AFloral and that will bring in our blue color.

This is just one stem, it has got three flowers. I have cut the larger flower off and I am going to put these smaller flowers up towards the top and the center and those out a little bit, a single blue flower and I put off to one side because I have got a nice blue bow here that I have made and I am going to stick that on the opposite side to bring that blue color around nicely. Now to finish it off, I am going to add a little asparagus fern. This is real light and airy and it will fill in nicely. I have used two stems of this and I am just going to cut them off and put the steel picks again on them.
Whenever you have things that are outside, I like to have a lot a nice greenery in there. It is makes them fresh looking and when they are outside it is more realistic and one more element I am going to stick in here, this is called dusty miller, it comes in a little bush here, really inexpensive, very realistic looking. I actually I have a friend that uses these in the summertime in her window boxes, because she has trouble keeping the real dusty miller alive and I am going to stick this around to finish this off around the bottom of the arrangement filling it in real nice, a couple pieces along the back side and there we have it, your Memorial Day Cemetery Cone, have a great day.
