Okay I am Jean here at AFloral and today we going to working on a monument saddle. This is one a red white and blue that I have done out for you, I am going to show you quickly how we put it together. This is the mechanism we are using add that is an aluminum monument saddle. I have strapped on a piece if dry foam with the heavy duty wire proof take here, it is like a duck tape. Now I got my project started a little bit here. What I have done is I have put in some silk baker fern, real inexpensive nice greenery that I have cut apart and I have put steel picks on the ends and I put that in just to camouflage the foam a little bit, then I took of full bunch of this really pretty forsythia here at the AFloral we are just bringing with spring, this is one of my favorites.
I cut this apart, added that in, longer pieces towards the end, kind of shorter, taller kind of the nice fountain shape here. Now I am going to add in a bush of purple tulips, these are real pretty, I have cut them apart with steel picks on the ends, there are three buds that are a little smaller here. I am going to start with those on the top and evenly spacing them along the top. I have an imaginary cylinder shape in the middle of this foam but I am trying to point all my stem inside of that cylinder shape that going to give me a really nice fountain shape to this arrangement. I am going to put a tulip on each end here.
One coming out the front and one more back here in the back and putting things opposite each other. Now I got some real pretty Gerber daisies in a hot pink one of my favorite. These are really going to spring it up nice, start with one right up front there looking at you, pull up here on the top, these are available at AFloral in every color you could possibly imagine. So many things you can do with these pink Gerber daisies with yellow Gerber daisies, just about any color you can imagine. I am sinking these in a little deeper in arrangement, they are a big flower and they are going to give it a look of heaviness so you want those deeper in your arrangement.
The next flower I found in our beautiful warehouse is this wild flower. Nice periwinkle purply blue color, real nice and light and airy and spring looking. We are going to go ahead and add those in, between my forsythia just springing out here all nice and spring, as another color element, again I got these on steel picks. We do not want these flowers blowing out of here down the street, so we can sure put our steel picks on there and that makes everything nice and secure in the cemetery. Another nice thing about arrangements like this in the cemetery is the custodians just let them sit of top of the monuments and nobody has got to trim around it or mow around it.
A real popular item in the cemeteries, here we go, I spruced this up with this blue wild flower. Next thing I am going to put and the possibilities are endless here at AFloral, we got so many beautiful spring flowers, but I picked some nice white Narcissus. They are fresh, pretty adds a little white to it and here I go again just all the away around top and bottom filling this in really nice and full and springy and airy. Last thing I am going to stick in is some ivy, this is an ivy bush we have at AFloral, very popular. It has got some nice little berries on it. I cut it apart, take the stems and we are just going to add these down around the bottom wherever you see your foam sticking through, you do not want any of that green foam showing through. This ivy is going to give it a nice lacey finish in it is going to camouflage any of our foam that might be sticking through and there you go. There is our beautiful spring monument saddle. Give a try. It is a wonderful addition to your cemetery work.
