Hi, this is Jane in A Floral and today, I am going to be working on a prom corsage, also could be use for a bridal corsage.
I have chosen one of our beautiful beaded bracelets here. This one is an iridescent black gray color. I am designing this for a navy blue dress with silver accents and so I have chosen some navy blue origami ribbon and made a nice, big, fluffy bow here.
I hot glued it on to the bracelet, and I am going to be using our hot glue pot today. If you do not have one of these, they are available here at A Floral and it is just a wonderful, wonderful tool.
I have chosen some pink rose buds for this design. I have pulled the heads right off the ends of the stems. I did trim the green area down, a little bit on this, so as not to have too much green.
I am going to dip the end of these roses into the glue pot and then they are going to adhere right into this bow. We will be sticking them in to the center of the bow and parting the loops a little bit. Placing the three of them of evenly around this bow, some of the loops on the inside, some of the loops on the outside of the flowers, just lay them right down inside of there in an evenly space around the bow. And these, I am going to glue. It will be nice and secure in there.
Now, the next thing I am going to add to this are some of our silver leaves. Like I said, I am designing this for a navy blue dress with silver accents. And I am going to do the same thing with the leaves, dip them in the hot glue. I cut the wire stems off them. I dip them in the hot glue, on the end, and kind of tuck them right inside of the lower part of that bow.
Now usually, I put three leaves in here, but instead on the third leaf, I have a little surprise that I will share with you in just a minute.
Before I do that, I am going to be sticking in some of these beautiful silver pearl wisps that we have here, in all different colors and stained with my blue and silver theme.
I have trimmed the pearl wisps off of their stem and these two, I am just going to dip into the glue, add around to the corsage to just give it a delicate, wispy look and also bringing in that beautiful silver element.
I got a lot of my jobs with these pearl wisps as there is I think a dozen wisps in a package and I have just cut up two wisps here, adding these on more, just tucking them in around the bow.
Now, for a little surprise element, I am going to use one of this beautiful silver butterflies that we have here at A Floral. We have them in all colors, silver and gold, white, iridescent in colors, isn’t that pretty? You would not even realize that it is a butterfly unless you look real closely but because it is silver, it is just going to add such a pretty element to this corsage.
I am just going to dip it lightly in the glue, wipe a little bit off, and put it over here where I left with my silver bow, and kind of nestled it right in there like he is taking a taste of those pretty big flowers, isn’t that pretty?
