The victim opens his Internet Explorer.
It is shown that there is a Fatal Error and the System is shutting down in 60s.
The victim must be really stunned by now. But when it counts down to 30s, the warning is automatically turned off.
IE will be opened as if nothing happens. The system stays alive. The victim just will not understand ANYTHING AT ALL.
The Secret
Open notepad. Type these codes:
shutdown –s –t 60 –c “Fatal error encountered.”
ping 127.0.0.1 –n 30 –w 1000
shutdown –a
start iexplore
Save it as C:\startIE.bat
Close notepad.
Create a shortcut to the newly created file.
Name it Internet Explorer.
Edit its properties.
Change its icon to the IE icon.
Change the run mode to Minimized.
It is done.
Now you have a fake Internet Explorer shortcut!
