Alright folks, this is lesson number on in this time, I am going to do big mixing. Well I actually start DJ quite few years ago. I did not have the joy for a while of having these professional turntables. I have the turntables. Basically there was no band that made the turntable move. So what they meant is when you put your finger here to slow down, it stopped it. When you put your finger here just speed up, it went like a 78, in other words you got 33 records, 45, 78 the old stuff and it sound atrocious. Okay, so the only way I could actually learn to mix was by using the pitch control and the pitch control only. After while I realize that you did not need to touch the turntable okay, think about it. If you put the pitch down there okay, you see some DJs do not touch the platter okay, while they are moving the pitch okay. Now the pitch slows the platter down ok. IF you are touching the platter, you are actually slowing the platter down as well as the pitch control okay. Now, if you put too much pressure on the platter okay, what you are doing is you are doing a contradiction to what the pitch is there for. The pitch is there to slow the platter down, in other words when the pitch is as say, minus 4, the pitch goes a certain speed. Minus 6, it will go to a certain speed. Minus 8, plus 6, whatever, that if you put your finger on it, let us say, minus 6, your finger could be going same minus 6 and a half. So that is why you see a lot of DJs as soon as they take their finger off the platter, they realize it was going out of beat again and they are going to stop speeding it up okay. So I want to show that there is no need to do that okay. Now, what I am going to do is this, well what you will see, you actually see me moving the pitch control quite a lot to begin with okay. Because I am finding the right place, I am going up, down, up, down and eventually, the movements will get smaller and smaller and jiggery and jiggery until eventually I will find in a little spot and I will always keep my finger on the pitch control just to fine tune it okay. It is fantastic if you can let it off, it looks cool, the crowd think wow, look he is going in beat. But there is nothing worst than hearing a da dam da dam da dam and then you are all over the place, headphones background and you are messing around. If you notice a lot of good DJS will always have the headphones and they are concentrating on what they are doing. They are not thinking you look at me, look at the crowd, they are looking on what they are doing okay. So what we will do, we will start this one over here and we will bring this one in, remember, watch my fingers, down, up, down at quite big movements and eventually that will slow down and then they will get smaller and they went slow and you do not want slow to happen. But the movements will get smaller and smaller and until eventually we will get in beat okay.
Okay, so this one started. And we will get this one ready. Okay, that one is ready. Now you may think I have got this setup okay. So what I am going to do, I am just going to okay, I slowed it done so I do not really know where this one should be now okay. Okay. Okay, what do you see about that. It has speed up a little bit by move it quite high and then bring it back down. Alright, let is see. Okay. Okay with that. Now it will slow that will down again and slow this one. Take that one off. Okay, we got that one slower so we are going to do the same thing again and bring this with that beat. We are going to do the same thing again and you have to do short movements to bring it in beat. Remember the bars. Okay. Okay, we got that. Okay I have touched the turntable it is no me. If I start touching the turntable now, I will come to the exit. Okay, I think they jumped. I am contradicting basically well. The pitch control is doing okay, is there for a reason okay, you slowed down, the record slows down, you speed up, the record speeds up. If I have been a help, thank you very much, if I have not, tell me. And I will stop.
