Jonathan: Alright folks, Jonathan here. Now, what I am going to do, I have a trick for you here with regards to CDJ800. I am sure there a lot of people will probably do this anyway but, there is quit a few people do not do it. So here we go, I will give you a bit of a demo and then I will explain exactly what I was doing. Here we go
(Music Demo)
Alright guys, on this particular CDJ, we have got banks here. We have got 1-2-3-4. When you press this one, you will just get one bit from the actual track. Now, listen.
(Music Demo)
Okay that is one. When you press this one
(Music Demo)
You will get boom. This one you get four
(Music Demo)
And this one you get eight.
(Music Demo)
But, what sure happens now when I press all of those four together. Because when that happens, you get now first bit boom on the one, you will get another bit boom on the two on the actual where we have got the four bits, you get that boom at first bit, and on the eight, you get boom the first bit. So, where actually doing, you are almost like you know (rrrrrram!) like that. Listen, have a listen.
(Music Demo)
Like so far, we did not do it the second time, we did it the first time (rrrrrram!). That, almost like you have got 1-2-3-4 bits going right after each other (ba-ba-ba-bam), (ba-ba-ba-bam) like that. But what I was doing, I was hitting the reverse straight away. So I was getting (rrrrrram!)
(Mumbling words)
It was going backwards, that dodging sound and that but hey, alright. So what we will do, we make sure it will rise at the beginning of the track again, I will show exactly what we are doing. Here we go.
(Music Demo)
And then, press reverse.
(Music Demo)
Hold that timing
(Music Demo)
Alright, it is just, it is only a tiny little trick there. But it is something else you can bone into the mix to just take it to that next level. Hope that has been a help. Practice and enjoy.
