My daughter is 27 and has had tractable epilepsy for seven-and-a-half years, meaning her seizures persist. What we as a family have been trying to determine is, what is the best place to go to? We are trying define for ourselves what the best place means? We've been doing a lot of research, we are talking people with epilepsy, people who have been through surgery, looking at all the websites and talking to a lot of epileptologist and neurologists and people in the epilepsy community. Going to facilities and ask questions to these people. Beyond the analytical research and comparing, one good friend says, well, trust your gut more. And another good friend says, you've got to be able to know you've done a pretty good job and let go.
