How To Play Baseball: Bat Behind Back Drill

[Music Playing] What Phillip is doing is what we refer to is bat behind the back. You notice he has got a bat behind his back. He has got his hands on both end. He is going to start through his wind up. He is transferring his step, it is pivot. He is getting a position. I am asking him to start and hold it into gather position. Here we go. Start. Now it is easy gather position. Now what I am going to do is pretend this is a flashlight. This is a total dark lane here and the longer he can point this down the range the better off he is going to be because we are going to assure him that he is close and once he releases and go forward, he is going to trust his hips through the zone and make sure again his utilizing every part of his body. Okay, let us start from the beginning. [Music Playing] He transfers his steps. He pivots, he is close trust his hips towards the batter. [Music Playing]
