I have now changed my position to third base. You never know what a pop fly it may slice over here to third. Third baseman comes out, the short is coming; my left fielder is coming again. Now we have got third base unoccupied. So what we are going to do is practice just the communication and get in there by the pitcher so incase we may have to get a force or tag out. Here we go Timmy.

He sees that the bag is unoccupied. He sprints over. Gets the force out or probably has to make a tag either way but he is there to get the out. Here we go Phil.

Good job, way to let them know that comes to you.

Takes a direct route to the back sets it self up. Be a little quicker. Maybe come in behind the back Timmy. Use that bag if you can for the fence. Good job Philip.

What we are going to work on now in his over throws. When a throw goes on third and the pitcher has to back up to save the run. One of mistakes that can be made here is a pitcher gets too close to the bag, thus there is an over throw. He is too close to react now the ball gets kicked around. Now we are looking at everybody score maybe picking up two bases if it goes into the dugout. So what I want to do is have Timmy simulate a pitch. I am going to over throw Philip would make sure he gets the right proper depth and distance. Go, set it up deep Timmy. There is the over throw. Now Timmy is there to prevent the ball from going into the dugout. Good job. Let us try it again. He has got to read me. He must understand that, wherever there is runner going that is where he needs to be. Here we go Timmy.
[Music playing]
Good job.
[Music Playing]
Timmy wants to make sure that he gets a little bit of distance so he can react. He is too close and cannot read the ball.
