Jacob is going to work us through jump rope routine.
We are not going to get so technical that it becomes very difficult for him. However, we do want to make sure that we work are foot quickness and the jump rope is a great cardio vascular work out as well.
The first jump rope exercise we are going to do is, we are going to keep both feet together and we are going to let him work at the wrist, okay.
(Demo)
He works with the wrists; he is not going to use a lot of the shoulders, just straight up and down,
(Demo)
Good, nice technique.
Notice how he straight up and then the ropes, the right length is not too long, it is not too short.
(Demo)
That is good.
The second exercise that we going to do on a jump rope is just right foot only so, he is going lift the left foot up on the ground and continue to work at the wrist.
(Demo)
Still want to maintain good technique? Try to come up and down on the same spot or very close to the same spot.
Notice how he is working his wrist, not the shoulders.
(Demo)
Then, they we are going to switch the left foot so will go right foot up,
(Demo)
The technique again is a good cardio vascular work out along with been able to work foot quickness and coordination.
(Demo)
The next exercise, we are going to run in place along with the jump rope. Again, this a great work out for a coordination, and ability to be able to move under some duress okay?
(Demo)
He is got to avoid that rope, still be able have a good technique with the hands, straight up and down.
His working on his focal point, it means straighten up, going a straight line, looks very good.
(Demo)
The last one we will do is to work a little bit a lateral quickness as what we have call Side to Side and he will be going from right to left.
Jump rope is a great way to get your work out for the day. You wind up. Get the blood pump in a little bit. Work a little bit lateral quickness. Work your foot quickness and just in general get a real nice work out.
