The Quick Foot Drill is one of my favorites. It certainly an opportunity for us to work on our footwork and be able to change directions very rapidly and what we hope to be very comfortably both from right to left and left to right, it also forces us to keep around the ball which I think is always a good thing and we are trying our best in drill never to turn our back. So, on the quick foot drill, we are going to keep going from one direction to the other as rapidly as we can and hopefully to be able to run under that thing. If you like to do it without a glove, I think that is good. Initially, we are going to show it with the glove today and as we do it, watch how they make that cut from right to left or left to right and see if they can do it right. Creep, quick feet, switch, and ball.
Again, the same techniques which apply throughout any part of outfield we want to apply here, we always want to run light on our feet, nice and easy, making sure that we track the ball all the way into the glove. Creep, quick feet, switch, and ball. And notice how Austin(ph) calls the ball. We always call it three times just to make sure that your partners can hear you and we do not end up with the collation. Creep, quick feet, switch, and ball.
Notice how they are not turning their back. They are maintaining eye contact with me and the ball which we want to do on the ballgame as much as possible. Creep, quick feet, switch, and ball.
