How To Play Basketball: 1 Handed Tip

Now, Chris is going to demonstrate for us the one handed tip drill. You get the habit of tipping the ball which gives you a good feel for the ball. It gives you good hand ball control and it teaches you to jump quickly so you gain a lot of things from the elements of this drill. He will throw it up on the board. He is going to keep tipping it with one hand. He will do five to six repetitions and he will tip it into the basked and now, he will go to his left side. He is learning to use both hands. He is learning to jump quickly. He is learning to keep the ball in the air and then he will try to tip it in. If he misses, he gets it and he puts it back in. Do one more set. There is his first set. He will do two sets. Again, you have to learn to work under fatigue for game situation. You work short quick periods and then you rest on a couple of free throws.
