How To Play Basketball: 5 Goals Of A Good Defender

1. Put more pressure on yourself and practice than you will ever see in a game situation this means repetition and work. 2. When practicing defensive skills work in short explosive intense spurts or for 30 seconds to one minute time interval. 3. Disrupt the opposing player’s rhythm at all times this means you will have to do some homework to know what they are good at. 4. After doing your homework take away your opponent strengths and make him do what he is not comfortable with. 5. Once you have broken them mentally finish them off physically. Apply constant pressure and make their lives for 32 or 40 minutes the most miserable 32 or 40 minutes that they will ever see.
