Coach - Nice video. We are working with our kids on the various hook shots. We classify them as Classic hook shot (like Mikan), Sky hook (like Jabbar), Jump Hook (like Duncan), and Half Hook (like Hansbrough). The Half Hook seems like the more recent vintage of the Hook Shot. The body is not perpendicular to basket (or shoulder to basket). Rather you open up more and the hand release is half-way between a true hook shot release and a floater type shot. It appears that this demos a half hook shot. You call it a baby hook. The player is not shoulder perpendicular to basket, but slightly open. His hand slightly rotates to the right to accommodate the open position. Am I correct on the current lingo for hook shots? Is the baby hook really what I am referring to as the Half Hook? Thanks. Don
